If you have followed my blog from the beginning, you will know that one of my most favorite parts of the day is Morning Meeting. It is a time each day, as soon as the morning begins, for us to gather and share and get our day started off on the right foot. Morning Meeting is led in my classroom and the different components that make up this seven to ten-minute chunk of our day.
It’s amazing how much Morning Meeting hasn’t changed for me in the ten-ish years I have been teaching! I wanted to take some time this summer to revisit Morning Meeting and compile all of my thoughts and resources into one place. Inside, I have tried to share all that I have experimented with and used to help give you loads of ideas for your own classroom. There are helpful tips on setting up Morning Meeting, a sample two-week schedule for getting Morning Meeting off and running, ways to keep in interesting, and loads more to help make a classroom meeting work for you. It is in PDF format with clickable links throughout to make it easy for you to navigate.
4, taking it to your local office supply shop to have it spiral bound. If you’re like me and still appreciate the hard copy of things, this is money well-spent since you can write all over it and highlight key point you want to remember. The posters in this packet also got a makeover with lots of additional color choices and new clip art. The colors now match the rest of my classroom decor in chevron, found in my store HERE. These are the same as in my original packet. Now, you’ll now be completely set to implement a Morning Meeting in your classroom for this upcoming school year! I hope you enjoy the light summer reading in the e-book and the updated signs and materials to coordinate with your classroom theme.
Let me know if you have any questions and I hope you enjoy this packet! I’m loving the time with my one year old! As a new teacher, I am loving spending time getting things ready for my classroom and my students! Loving picking black raspberries and knowing that blackberries will be following! I love having my children back at home! I love that I took a Responsive Classroom class last week so I can start doing Morning Meetings, too!
Stephanie, I just got married and honeymooned in Italy! Morning Meeting needs fine tuning in my classroom and this would be such a huge help! I’m loving the extra time with my family! This summer I’m loving planning and prepping to teach in 3rd grade again after being out of the education game for too long! I have been traveling this summer and hanging out with my boys! I will be starting Morning Meetings this year and this would be a great resource.
I am loving the time I finally get to read books that have nothing to do with teaching! Loving that I could wake up late AND even take afternoon naps! One more week and my brothers and sisters will be here from all over the country. After that, I’m back to preparing for my 37th year of teaching. I can’t wait to meet my kids and see what the year brings! I love all the beach time I have now!
Thanks for this chance to win! I love that we now live near a pool and I can enjoy my days there! This is the first summer I have been unable to find a summer job, so it has been pretty relaxing. PSI had these in my TPT cart just waiting for August! Spending time with my boys and having the chance to spend some time at the pool and read a book for the enjoyment of reading a book. I am enjoying not setting an alarm! I got a new job as a 3rd grade teacher!
Can’t wait to start setting things up! What I am loving about this summer break is my college girl is home after finishing her freshman year and I’m gearing up for my high school senior. Spending every last minute with them! I am loving watching my son play in golf tournaments and my daughter play in soccer tournaments. Also enjoying not setting my alarm and finding time to sit in the sun on the deck reading a book. I’m loving spending time with my 7 month old son.
